For Our Communities – FOCUS, Inc. (Non-Profit) is a Massachusetts non-profit corporation operating for the charitable purpose of conducting activities that facilitate and promote the development and operation of affordable housing, as well as support the residents of such housing and the preservation of deteriorating buildings and neighborhoods. The Organization’s primary functions include many different aspects including:
- Conducting activities that facilitate and promote affordable housing through joint ventures and/or contracts with for-profit and not-for-profit developers.
- Supporting the residents of affordable housing through services and activities.
- Providing educational assistance to young adults through hosteling, so that they may gain a greater understanding of the world and its people.
- Funding training and continuing education opportunities for professionals in the field of affordable housing.
